Jonas is a Blue Slate domestic turkey with quite the gregarious personality. Brought to us in October of 2021, a young family had found him wandering on their property located across from a poultry farming facility and gave him sanctuary until they could bring him to CWR. Jonas made it clear from the start that he was more interested in people than he was his avian counterparts, and very quickly became a fan favorite. Those who know and love Jonas know him as the rescue’s greeter, guard dog, and peacekeeper. When he is not following you around like a puppy, he can be found patrolling the main yards breaking up squabbles, chaperoning the rescue’s babies, or waiting patiently by the back door for a new friend to come through. Here at CWR he will be free to live out the long life he deserves, surrounded by friends and family who love him.
